The passage above shows what happened when Andrew and another unnamed disciple heard John the Baptist refer to Jesus as the “Lamb of God.” They knew that indicated Jesus was the Messiah they had been seeking. So they followed Him. In the accompanying verses, we discover that Jesus turned and asked, “What do you want?” (v. 38). They simply asked where He was staying, and Jesus said, “Come…and you will see” (v. 39).

He’s still offering the same invitation to anyone who wants to follow Him. He’s still saying, “Come.” You don’t have to worry—there’s a place for you on the team. MIMBS 3
