From the Webmaster PDF Print E-mail

This may sound a little nuts, but what you're looking at is the product of years’ worth of work and research. Getting here hasn't been easy. Change never is. In order to change something, you have to examine everything you do and all of the thought processes' behind every major and minor decision you've made along the way.

In early 2009, I thought we had found our new path. At the Man in the Mirror Annual Summit in 2009, we asked you for feedback, and the responses we received in return indicated that we were (hopefully) headed in the right direction.

All it took was making it all happen.

The Man in the Mirror website could no longer continue to be what it was – that much was clear. The site needed to embrace what we think we do best: thoughtful analysis and cutting-edge thought leadership on the issues and trends that shape ministry to men all across the world. This lead to a total rework of how we not only present information to you, but how we allow you to interact with both us and one another.

This isn’t just a website re-launch. We strove to create a community where people who live, work and literally breathe men's ministry could meet, comment on the trends affecting us all, discuss the news and views of the day, interact with the MIM team, and even contribute to the success of the website itself.

Simply put, God saw fit to force us to become more than what we were on the web.

The new site is designed to be clean and easy to use, while delivering even more of the content you have come to expect from Man in the Mirror: a clear focus on helping churches by serving pastors; industry-leading tools and articles to help train church leaders; unique features and news designed to help today's man enter into a more meaningful relationship with Christ; and finally, views, commentary, and even some humor from our team.

That is, however, just the opening act. Almost every area of our website has been re-done with you in mind. This website isn’t just a destination to read the latest news, reviews, previews, and features, but a place we hope you'll call home.

For example, our new web community gives pastors, leaders and men a chance to join us in exploring how Christianity continues to define all of our lives. It also opens up the ability for our constituents who use the Weekly Video Bible Study the opportunity to create (or find) their own group, and allows them to share information in one convenient online location.

And these are just a couple of the highlights.

As you explore Man in the Mirror 4.0, please remember – this is just the beginning. We will continue to change and to grow. But I ask that you come along and help us create a community the likes of which this world has never seen. Not for us, mind you. But for the glory of God!

God bless! And, I'll see you on the site...
