If you take virtually every problem in America today, at the root of it you will find the failure of a man (e.g. 93% of prisoners are male and 85% of these come from fatherless homes). Today there are approximately 98,000,000 men in America, 63,000,000 of which don't know Christ. Only 8,000,000 of these are active in discipleship. This would be the equivalent of 12 guys playing on a football team and only 1 of them knowing how to play football.

Now, no man fails on purpose – most wake up in the morning wanting to succeed.

Our desire at Man in the Mirror is to come along side pastors and men’s ministry leaders who are equipping men for success.

No Man Left Behind training

The problem is not lack of effort: many have tried diligently for years with no lasting results. Determination is not a strategy.

The problem is not a lack of intent: every pastor and church leader wants to see men discipled. Desire is not a strategy. 

Most churches are not getting the results they want when it comes to men leading powerful, transformed lives. The answer is clear: disciple men.

The problem is men's ministry.

Or what we might call classic men's ministry: a weekly men's group, a monthly breakfast, an annual retreat. You check off the "men's ministry" box on your to-do list, and then you wonder why men's lives are not changing.

What's needed is a new perspective. A comprehensive strategy that:

 

  • doesn't require you to add a bunch of new men's-only activities
  • takes into account all the different types of men you have in the church
  • isn't dependent on a specific curriculum
  • takes advantage of everything that your church is doing to reach and disciple men
  • gives your leadership team the tools necessary to assess, plan and implement without superhuman efforts to make it happen
  • will result in more men coming to church and more men being discipled.

 

The No Man Left Behind Model does all of this. And we'll show you how.


Here's the bottom line: In a recent survey of training alumni, churches who intentionally implemented the No Man Left Behind Model showed significant gains in the number of men involved in the church over an average time of 2.5 years.
